Zhangjiakou

A City with Location Advantages

Zhangjiakou is located in the northwest of Hebei Province, and it is where Beijing, Hebei Province, ShanXi Province, and Inner Mongolia meet, thus serving as a crucial hub connecting the northwestern, northern, and central areas of China. It is 180 kilometers away from the Capital Beijing and only takes 50 minutes to travel from Beijing to Zhangjiakou on the Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed railway.

An Olympic City

Zhangjiakou has hosted most snow events of the Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. There are 4 competition venues in Zhangjiakou Competition Zone, where a total of 51 Olympic gold medals happened: Zhangjiakou National Ski Jumping Centre, Zhangjiakou National Cross-Country Skiing Centre, Zhangjiakou National Biathlon Centre, Zhangjiakou Genting Snow Park.

And there are 4 non-competition venues here: Zhangjiakou Olympic/Paralympic Village, Zhangjiakou Mountain Press Centre, Zhangjiakou Mountain Broadcast Centre, and Zhangjiakou Medal Plaza.

A Thriving City

Seizing the opportunity of preparing for and hosting the
Olympic Winter Games, Zhangjiakou has been striving
for development transformation and upgrading. The city
has taken on a new look with an improving cultural
environment, and it is now better known to the world.
We are fostering six leading industries: sports, culture,
and tourism; winter sports industry; big data; renewable
energy; modern manufacturing; and green agriculture
and animal husbandry, which have all taken an initial
