The World Union of Olympic Cities is proud to invite all the Olympic Cities to attend the 2023 Annual Meeting to be held in Paris, France on 27, November 2023. Host of the 1900, 1924 and 2024 Summer Olympic Games, Paris is in full swing to be ready to welcome the world in 2024 for a new edition of the Games!

The Annual Meeting will be followed by the smartcities & sport summit to be held at the Pullman Tour Eiffel Hotel and at the Stade Rolland-Garros on 27-29, November 2023.

As per tradition, the Union is excited to invite you to join us for an inspiring additional trip in an iconic Olympic City. We are pleased to invite you to discover on site the lively legacy of Amsterdam, Host City of the 1928 Summer Olympic Games.  This visit will be held from 29 November to 1st December 2023 and the Union thanks the City of Amsterdam for its warm welcome and exciting programme.

    Annual Meeting

    The 2023 Annual Meeting will explore the multifaceted topic of Olympic Legacy through various initiatives presented by the City of Paris, other Olympic Cities and the IOC.

    The 2023 General Assembly of the World Union of Olympic Cities will be held after the Annual Meeting.

    smartcities & sport summit

    A few months ahead of of Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games, let’s embark on a smartcities & sport journey to the heart of major sport events! The organisation of sports events creates momentum and for host cities, is an opportunity to take stock of the existing facilities, to assess the short and long-term solutions, to evaluate economic, urban and societal challenges and to plan events that contribute to the transformation of the city in a way that meets local needs, both for the community and the individuals.

    A welcome cocktail at the Trocadéro reception room of the Pullman Tour Eiffel Hotel on November 27 evening will informally open the smartcities & sport summit, which be held at the Pullman Tour Eiffel Hotel. A gala dinner will take place at the Paris City Hall on November 28.

    Host city of the 1928 Summer Olympic Games, Amsterdam is an inspiring and living city, where inhabitants and visitors breath sport and physical activity, all in a great urban and historical environment. The 1928 Olympic Stadium, still in use,  is a living legacy of the Games and an evidence of people’s attachement to their Olympic past and engagement to develop a true sports city!     Practical information

    The World Union of Olympic Cities will cover all on-site expenses for up to two representatives of Olympic Cities’ Active Members. It includes registration fees, meals and three nights of hotel accommodation in Paris. Fees for additional participants amount to CHF 650.- Accommodation in Paris is not included in this fee.

    For the additional trip, the Union will also cover all on-site expenses for up to two representatives of Olympic Cities’ Active Members. It includes transportation from Paris to Amsterdam as well as two nights of hotel accommodation in Amsterdam. Fees for additional participants amount CHF 590.- Accommodation in Amsterdam is included in this fee. We invite you to schedule your return flights directly from Amsterdam.
